Two Local Non-Profits for Nomination

Pope's Kids Place - Centralia, Washington

Pope's Kids Place is a "respite" and medical care "home away from home"
for special needs children and young adults. It was founded by our
amazing local pediatrition, Dr. Isaac Pope.

It is the mission of Pope's Place to support and supplement the
integrity of families challenged by special health care needs of their
children. They know that meeting the needs of these incredible children
can be draining physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. It
is also a stressful situation in some cases with the constant travel to
distant care facilities.

Pope's Place is staffed by a pediatritian, nurses, and volunteers who
provide stimulating learning environments and quality care.
Parents and caregivers bring the children to Popes for day or night,
safe, nurturing care while finding ways to restore and rejuvenate their
own energy.
"Special Needs" include (but not limited to) :

Asthma
Autism
Blind
Cerebral Palsy
Cleft Palate
Cystic Fibrosis
Deaf
Depression
Diabetes
Downs
Failure to Thrive
Feeding Problems
Functional Intestinal Disorders
Genetic Disorders
Heart
